Martket-Tested and Proven: Our idea was developed in May of 2015. We built a prototype in our shop and got feedback from building professionals. There was an immediate need and the concept was field tested on a 50 hollow metal frame project. Dimensions were tweaked both on the hinge side to accommodate intersecting drywall partitions and at the strike side, to allow more space for electrical work. As of July 2016 we have installed 500 prefabricated Smartheads on 20+ projects (SCA, hospitals and office spaces). This system works with any hollow metal frame designed for steel-framed drywall partitions. Engineered shop drawings are available for this assembly and it is patent pending.
